Chardonnay 2020

'Alexander's Vineyard'

Winemaking Notes

The fruit for this blend is sourced for its great purity and balanced natural acidity from a premium Wilyabrup sub–regional vineyard.

The fruit was harvested and processed on a cool autumn morning. The juice was barrel fermented
in a combination of new and old French oak barriques with a small portion fermented in stainless steel. Fermentation was conducted using selected, aromatic yeast strains at temperatures between 12 to 22°C. Post fermentation barrels received regular battonage to enhance mouth feel. After maturation in oak the wine was blended, lightly fined then filtered and bottled
