Franklin Tate Estates Tradition Chardonnay was crafted with the philosophy of paying homage to the first Chardonnays created by the Tate Family.
The first crop of Chardonnay was harvested in 1984 by winemaker John Tate and his family, and was set aside to mature in oak. Thirty years on, this Franklin Tate Estates Traditional Margaret River Chardonnay is made from the same vines in the family’s awarded vineyard – a pure expression of what premium Margaret River Chardonnay winemaking was all about, and still is today.
